AGM – Date Change

Following the Government’s announcement last week of the continuing Lockdown restrictions until at least 19 July 2021, we have reviewed the impact of this on the date and arrangements for the Community Shop AGM.

Unfortunately it is not possible to go ahead with a face to face meeting on the planned date of Friday 16 July with the current restrictions in place. The Management Board have therefore decided to move the AGM to a new date after 19 July.

The new AGM date is now THURSDAY 22 JULY 2021.

All other arrangements remain the same – the venue is the Parish Church, the start time as 7pm. Social Distancing measures will be in place to maintain space. All Shareholders are welcome to attend.

New Phone Number

Following the installation of the Telegraph Pole a couple of weeks ago, there is now a landline telephone with an answerphone attached.

The number is 01579 350841.

The next step is the internet modem. This will be arriving imminently and will provide a more robust connection for the till and payment card services.

Thank You for bearing with our Volunteers valiantly searching for a strong enough connection to take electronic payments.

Langage Ice Cream

The new addition to stock in the Community Shop is… Langage Ice Cream…🥰 It is the creamiest most delicious ice cream, Blackcurrants & Cream, Thunder & Lightening, Vanilla Pod and our favourite Chocolate.

At the moment we have the small tubs in stock, we will be receiving the layered yogurts next week and we will build the stock over the ‘hot, balmy summer’.

Their green credentials are exemplary and we would love you to buy, try and feed back any reviews….enjoy x

Easter Opening Hours

Easter Opening

The Community Shop will be open for its full normal hours every day over the Easter weekend . Thanks and appreciation to all our Volunteers for enabling this to happen.

We are looking forward to supporting the Festivities Committee with the arrangements for the Easter Trail in Lovells Field. There are still a few remaining posters for Children to colour in for the Trail – these can be collected at the Shop and returned by Wednesday to be included.

Revised Opening Hours

We are pleased to announce that longer opening hours for the Shop will come into operation from Monday 29 March.

This is a welcome sign of improving times for us all on the road out of Lockdown.

Let’s continue to keep everyone in our community as safe as possible.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
