We are delighted to be able to get started with our community recycling plans.

Alison Humphreys will be visiting the Community Shop on Thursday afternoon bewteen 2:30 – 3:20pm. Please come along with any sorted recycling items and find out more.

We are aiming to make this a regular date at the Community Shop.

South Hill Charity Recycling – a local charity who offers a collection service for household items that are not taken away by the kerbside recycling services:

Easter Opening Hours

Easter Opening

The Community Shop will be open for its full normal hours every day over the Easter weekend . Thanks and appreciation to all our Volunteers for enabling this to happen.

We are looking forward to supporting the Festivities Committee with the arrangements for the Easter Trail in Lovells Field. There are still a few remaining posters for Children to colour in for the Trail – these can be collected at the Shop and returned by Wednesday to be included.

Revised Opening Hours

We are pleased to announce that longer opening hours for the Shop will come into operation from Monday 29 March.

This is a welcome sign of improving times for us all on the road out of Lockdown.

Sourdough Fridays

It’s Sourdough Fridays at the Community Shop.

Lots of lovely fresh and warm Sourdough available….. including this yummy new variety….. Cheese, Onion and Caraway Sourdough.

St Piran’s Day – Pasty and Cornish Ale

It’s St Piran’s Day this Friday! In celebration, the Community Shop has a special offer available on Thursday 4th March and Friday 5th March.

A frozen Pasty (choose from either steak or cheese) and a bottle of Cornish Ale for £5 *subject to availability*.

The selected Cornish Ales with this offer are one of: Sharps Doombar or Skinners Betty Stoggs, Cornish Knocker or Hops & Honey Ales.

Fairtrade Fortnight

Fairtrade Fortnight

St Dominick Community Shop is delighted to be supporting Fairtrade Fortnight starting today. The aim of Fairtrade Fortnight is to celebrate the people who grow our food and produce other products we all use – locally and globally.

Please keep a lookout for Fairtrade and ethically produced products available in the Shop.

Customer Ordering Service

Update – Following the two week trial period, we have decided that this service is not viable at this time. We will of course let you know should the situation change.

We are delighted to be able to introduce, for an initial TRIAL period of two weeks, a Customer Ordering Service. Orders can be made on a Monday and Wednesday for collection or delivery (within a limited area) the following day. Helen Eynon, Shop Manager will be coordinating this and details are on the poster below.
